Eternal Word Television Network (Eternal Word Television Network) is better known by its acronym EWTN. It is the basic cable television network in the United States. It provides all-day Catholic-themed programming. It was founded by PCPA’s Angelica mothers in 1980 and began broadcasting on August 15, 1981 in the garage studio of Our Lady of Angels Monastery in Irondale, Alabama. Angelica mothers were established in 1962.
She hosted her own show "Danggui Mama Live" until September 2001 when she suffered a severe stroke and other health problems. She now broadcasts in the form of "Danggui Mom Live" or "Classic Angelica Mom Classic". From then until her death on Easter Sunday in 2016, she lived a reclusive life in the most sacramental holy land in Hansville, Alabama.
Regular online programs include daily Holy Masses, sometimes even Trident Masses, traditional cross stations, daily recordings of tapes and rosaries, and daily and weekly news, discussions, and religious programs for adults and children. Christmas and Easter programs; installation of the bishops and cardinals of the masses; World Youth Day reports; and introduced the Pope’s visits, deaths, funerals, assemblies and elections. Spanish radio is available on all platforms. On December 8, 2009, EWTN began broadcasting high-definition television.
