KMSP-TV, virtual and VHF digital channel 9, is a television station owned and operated by Fox, which is licensed to Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, and serves the Twin Cities TV market. The TV station is owned by Fox Corporation’s Fox TV subsidiary and is part of a duopoly with the TV station WFTC (channel 9.2) owned and operated by MyNetworkTV. The two outlets share a studio on Viking Avenue in Eden Prairie and a launcher facility in Shoreview, Minnesota.
KMSP-TV also serves the Mankato market through the local municipal cooperative television station (CTV) through the nearby K35KI-D in St. James, even though the area already has its own Fox affiliate. The KFTC channel (digital and virtual channel 26) is the WFTC satellite station, licensed by Bemidji, which serves the northernmost end of the Minneapolis-St. Paul TV market. KMSP-TV is also broadcast on Thunder Bay of Shaw Cable in Canada, the Ontario system, and Bell MTS Fibe TV in Manitoba.
